Sometimes adulting can get a little too serious, it’s fun to sometimes take a step back and laugh a little!
Month Seven! Yay! This month was very fun and just felt like one thing after another! August came out of nowhere though, I don’t know what it is about the summer months that just fly by so so quickly! But honestly, Fall is right around the corner and that is truly my favorite season! Can’t wait for all of the Fall feels, candles, flannels, PSLs and yummy yummy food!
This month we were a little bit everywhere. Things came up that sometimes we just didn’t feel prepared for; which can cause a sense of fear just because it’s the unknown. Sometimes marriage, or even just adulting in general, has some serious conversations or situations that you run into. Getting married young, you do kind of keep growing up together. So “adult things” like shopping for insurance, finding doctors all on our own, maintaining OUR home weekly, can sometimes consume our days. And while of course those are important things to focus on, sometimes taking a step back to laugh, be silly or have fun with one another is what we need! This can be, 30 minutes in the pool or working on a puzzle with some throwback jams in the background! Talk about a funny work story or reflect on something fun from the past! Life is life, and it’s gonna keep on going whether we stress about it or not. So why not take a break to have a little fun?!
I am 100% guilty of letting these kinds of things consume me which is something I have been learning to reprioritize and not be so stuck on all the time. Marcus knows me well enough to help me work through what needs it but also how to get me out of my head, let loose and have some fun! As husband and wife it’s our job to protect one another, even if that is from our own self. Those serious convos or situations will still happen but you will work through them together.

Life is hard enough already, it’s okay to remind yourself that everything will be okay. Sometimes all you need is a little laugh and some quality time with your best friend!
